From Birmingham Centre  Take the A45 out of the city through Small Heath and Yardley. About 3/4 mile after passing through Yardley, the road splits either side of a petrol station. The road rejoins at another petrol station. Pass Safeway Supermarket on your right. Turn right at the overhead gantry traffic lights with the Wheat sheaf pub/hotel on your right. Go straight ahead at the roundabout and the ice rink is on your right, just before a BP petrol station.. To enter the car park go past the rink and turn first right into Ulleries Road and right again

So where is Solihull Ice Rink, it's on Hobs Moat Road, Solihull, West Midlands (0121 742 5561)

There is a petrol filling station next door, a Chinese buffet restaurant, an Italian restaurant, an Indian takeaway, a fish and chip shop and a taxi office by the ice rink. 

By Bus

The 71, 72 and 57a buses stop in front of the rink. The 57, 58, 60 and 900 all stop on the A45. The 'wheat-sheaf' stop is approximately a 10 minute walk along a straight, well lit, flat road. Bus information can be got from Centro on 0121 200 2700.

By Train

Solihull station is served from London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill. Solihull bus station is right outside the railway station, there are regular buses passing the ice rink. Taxis are often scarce outside the railway station, but several private hire firms can be called who are there very quickly.

From the West Coast railway line, serving Birmingham New Street and London Euston, the nearest station is Birmingham International (the NEC and Airport). There is a taxi rank outside the railway station, and a bus service along the A45 which stops at the 'wheat sheaf'. From Birmingham New Street, it is a 5 minute walk to Birmingham Moor Street station, where a train to Solihull station can be caught.

From M6 take M42  Exit the M42 at Junction 6 (NEC/Birmingham Airport), take the exit signposted Birmingham (A45). The National Exhibition Centre and Birmingham Airport will be on your right as you head towards Birmingham. At the first major set of traffic lights (the entrance to the Cargo airport will be on your right), continue straight ahead on the A45. You will then enter Sheldon with a number of shops on your right and some petrol stations and offices on your left. You will see another major set of overhead gantry traffic lights ahead. Take the left lane and turn left into Hobs Moat Road B425 (the Wheat sheaf pub/hotel is on the opposite corner). Go straight ahead at the roundabout and the ice rink is on your right, just before a petrol station. To enter the car park go past the rink and turn first right into Ulleries Road and right again (approx 10 minutes). 

From M42, junction 5  Recommended if coming from London / M40. Take the A41 Solihull bypass towards Solihull. Stay on the bypass to the junction with the B425 Lode Lane. Turn right into Lode Lane (there is a brown ice rink direction sign
